You simply won't put it down until it's finished. What's wrong with being single. Read this book in one day on vacation. In future centuries, when people wish to study Armstrong, one of the most important figures of the 20th century, they will need to look no further than Brothers' extensive ouevre on Armstrong to get every aspect of the picture. He was quite happy when reading this book. Men will wine and dine you, until they are allowed entrance into your tunnel. The poems in this book are clearly written from direct experience with the subject, which is always helpful if you are looking for/need to hear from someone who not only knows what they are talking about, but has lived it too. Seems a lot of people think it's OK to write a review after reading the first 20 pages, flipping through it at a bookstore, or just reading the cover. I’m sold on this vision. I will premise this review by saying that I know Steve and have worked with him and Susan on a few projects in NY. Although it’s written for children, anyone (young or old) can benefit from its wisdom. Comparing this to the truly psychologically compelling works of Patricia Highsmith is honestly a horrendous insult to one of the greatest writers of the genre.
