I certainly hope that Mr. Britain had been under German air attacks for many months and wanted American help with weapons, ammunition, ships and food. It's an alternative world and anything is possible. This is not an easy book to read; however, once you realize how autobiographical the material is, you can better appreciate the emotion that when into the writing. If you haven't read the first in the series, One Night in Tehran, I absolutely recommend doing so before reading this book. It might be good reading for them next summer. I had hoped the book would offer some serious consideration of what plagiarism, these days, really meansbut I think, when Mercier wrote this in 1995, the topic hadn't yet become as complex as it now is (with disputes over "sampling," "remixing," etc. This author is fantatic, he is from a very religious background, which actually helps the reader by offering authentic and spiritual based exapmple. Being a resident of Montana himself, it is obvious throughout the book that Shannon approaches his subject matter with respect and adoration. I have to say I am SO GLAD I read this book. Additionally, the Church returned to a radical interventionist agenda that embraced issue-specific alliances with political parties other than the Christian parties.
